Three years since the pandemic began, Spectrum News visited with Cynthia Gibas, a professor of bioinformatics and founder of the North Carolina Urban Microbiome Project, and James Bealle, an environmental field monitoring technician, to reflect on the success of the University’s wastewater monitoring.
