The field of computing is changing fast and its impact on society is far reaching. The College of Computing and Informatics aspires to shape the Future of Computing.

We are:

  • The largest computing program in the Carolinas with over 2700 students.
  • The #1 producer of computing degrees in the state of North Carolina.
  • The leader in producing diverse graduates in computing in the state: #2 in women, #1 in African-Americans and #1 in Hispanics.
  • One of the most diverse colleges of computing in the Nation with 24% women enrollment and 43% minorities – both above the national average.

To accomplish this, the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI) offers two undergraduate degrees in Computer Science (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science), and several graduate degrees (Master’s and Doctoral, and several degrees in collaboration with other academic units on campus. CCI also offers additional academic opportunities for our students such as the Early Entry program, the Honors program, certificates, and several academic minors.
