Steps to Degree Completion

For current students with specific questions regarding their major, please email: cci-advising-center@uncc.edu. 

Step 1:

Students initially enroll as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) – Information Technology, or Bachelor of Science (BS) – Software, Systems, and Networks student and enroll in courses for your first semester at SOAR/orientation. All Computer Science degrees are composed of: (1) General Education Requirements, (2) Minor/Related Work Requirements, and (3) Major and Concentration Requirements.

Step 2: 

If you are pursuing a different CCI concentration, formally change your concentration after:

  • Successful completion of ITSC 2214 – Data Structures and Algorithms
Step 3:

Complete all degree requirements. Check your personal DegreeWorks plan for requirements.

Step 4:

 Submit your application for graduation.

The Alumni Gives Scholarship allows students to pursue their dreams and contribute to the technology community.  This needs-based scholarship empowers students to overcome financial hurdles while pursuing their education goals and gives preference to underrepresented populations within the CCI student body.
