CCI Student Professional Development

CCI Professional Development activities are designed to help students gain confidence in communicating their experiences and skills to potential employers through workshops and events led by industry professionals and alums. Additionally, these programs are designed to help students build networking contacts as they seek opportunities. Those who participate indicate an increase in understanding about industry topics, the work of various roles, as well as a better understanding of how to apply transferable skills with their technical knowledge to achieve their goals.

FALL CCI TECH CONNECT NETWORKING EVENT is this week!
Thursday, September 24, 11AM-3PM, Cone Center Lucas RoomAt Tech Connect you’ll score face-to-face time with professionals in tech roles you could land, discover diverse career paths, and talk with recruiters.
Strong faculty and student attendance is vital to ensuring our industry partners continue to see the Tech Connect as a worthwhile venue for recruitment and collaboration.
Please help us show industry partners the strength of our community by attending and encouraging your students to participate.

Campus Career Fairs This Week
Financial Services Career Fair
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Student Union
The Financial Services Career Fair connects students and alumni with employers in the financial services industry who may be recruiting in the areas of banking, data & analytics, employee benefits, financial advising, risk management & insurance, actuarial, sales, technology & computer science.

Fall Career & Internship Fair
Friday, Sept. 25, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Student Activity Center (SAC)
Large career fair focused on non-technical opportunities; open to all majors and all class levels. Connect with 125 employers and grad programs offering full-time jobs, internships, and co-ops. Attendees include Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, government agencies, local businesses, and graduate programs.

Actuarial Science Career Fair 2026
Friday, Sept. 25, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Cone Center Lucas Room
Join the Actuarial Science Program and Club for Actuarial Science Day and Career Fair on Friday, Sept 25 in the Cone building. We’ll have speakers and presentations from 10 am–1 pm, lunch from 1–2 pm, and the career fair from 2–4 pm.Encourage students to view the Career Fair Crash Course video to prepare for the fairs.
