Mark Strejc (pronounced Straights) has been with the College of Computing and Informatics since April 2020. In addition to his advising responsibilities, Mark teaches ITSC 2600 – Computing Professionals II, an on-boarding course for CCI transfer students.
In previous roles prior to joining CCI, Mark worked in Academic Coaching and Housing & Residence Life at fellow North Carolina institutions High Point University and the University of Mount Olive. He received a BA in History from Maryville College and an MBA in Higher Education from Cumberland University, both in neighboring Tennessee.
Mark is a native Charlottean, born and raised locally in Charlotte, NC. In his spare time, Mark likes to explore the local area and travel with friends and family. He is an adamant fan of both the Carolina Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes and regularly attends games. At home, he enjoys playing video games, reading, podcasts, and spending time with his three dogs, Porter, Saison, and Penny.
