Dr. Reid uses computational technologies and statistics for biological data analysis with expertise in sequence, variant and pathway analysis and genome sequence assembly. He has produced genome assemblies in many species, including blueberry, oat, drosophila, starfish and sea cucumbers. His past works includes developing open source software visualization tools to create stunning visual linkage map renderings. Other work includes characterizing microbial profiles in soil to improve agronomy.
