Research Description: Dr. Yonghong Yan’s research area is in the system area of computer science, with focus on parallel and high performance computing, parallel programming model and compiler techniques, computer architecture and systems. Recent research work has been concentrated improving existing programming systems for heterogeneous and manycore systems with accelerators based on OpenMP, and for addressing the power wall and memory wall challenges of existing and emerging computer systems. Research projects and publications can be found from his research group of High Performance Computing Architecture and System Research Lab.
