The College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking candidates for full-time, 9-month non-tenure-track Teaching Professor positions at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor. Each appointment will be for three or five years, depending on rank, and is eligible for renewal. A Ph.D. in Computing or closely related field, or commensurate experience is required. Teaching faculty are expected to contribute to high quality teaching, curriculum development and innovation, scholarship of teaching, and student recruitment,advising, and success. For the Computer Science position (#1741), we seek candidates who can teach game design, programming languages, and/or computer networking at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Highly qualified candidates in other areas of teaching will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with proven ability for enhancing undergraduate student retention and graduation; and employing innovative teaching techniques, particularly for gateway computing courses.
