Transfer credit reevaluation

Transfer credits from other institutions are processed in accordance with the Transfer Credit Advisor, which is an online database of courses that have transferred previously. However, this database is not comprehensive and is continuously updated with new courses and changes to existing equivalencies.

If a student has a transfer course that they expect should have transferred to a specific ITCS, ITIS, ITSC, or BINF course in the College of Computing and Informatics, but has not, they may submit a Transfer Credit Adjustment academic petition (in Banner Self Service). Students should make sure to attach relevant course syllabi with as much information as possible (course description, detailed list of topics, outcomes, textbook information, etc.) to allow for an accurate and timely evaluation. Students will be contacted if further information / documentation is required. Once all the necessary information has been provided, they should receive a decision within 7-10 business days.
