Ph.D. in Computing and Information Systems, CS Track

As part of the College of Computing and Informatics, the Department of Computer Science offers the Computer Science Track of the Ph.D. Program in Computing and Information Systems . This track offers opportunities for students to develop advanced competencies in many areas of computer science and other IT related fields. Students embark on a journey of discovery with faculty advisors, through the program of study tailored to address individual career goals. Students who aspire to academic research and teaching will benefit from a strong research reputation of faculty and their international stature, as well as exposure to practical applications of their specialties. Others seeking employment in industry, commerce, or government are afforded the opportunity to participate in high-quality applied research. 

This program was originally named "Ph.D. in Information Technology". The new name became effective in July 2011.
