CyberCorps: Scholarship For Service
Since 2001, the CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program (formerly Carolina Cyber Defender Scholarship Program) has provided close to 100 full scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursing information security careers in the public sector. Students pursuing a BS Computer Science degree with a concentration in Cybersecurity, a MS Cybersecurity degree, or a PhD in Computing and Information Systems are eligible to apply for the SFS program. The STARS Computing Scholars
The STARS Computing Scholars program at UNC Charlotte is funded by the National Science Foundation. The program provides scholarships for students to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees* in the College of Computing and Informatics. Students who meet both merit and financial-need requirements are competitively selected, as detailed below. Once selected, students receive a stipend up to $10,000 per year for up to three years to complete their Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees and participate in research, experiential learning, and community service projects with other computing students.
